Layover Gauntlet
by E-Visa Preparation

Every connection is a border crossing in disguise.

The layover is where visas ambush people. In this game you fly a journey of connection stops. At every stop you get a situation and three choices: one safe, one risky, one that ends the trip on the spot. Safe calls cost nothing. Risky calls cost 15 Trip Health and a story. Fatal calls end the journey where you stand.

The trips are fictional and the rules inside each scenario are stated in its text. Real transit rules depend on your passport, your tickets and the current law, and they change; check your actual booking before you fly.

Pick your journey

Playing is always free, start to finish. At the end of a journey you get an end card with your Trip Health, your grade, and every call you made. Two free end cards per day on this connection; after that, an email unlocks unlimited journeys for the rest of the day.

How Trip Health works

  • Start at 100. The meter and the stop counter stay on screen the whole flight.
  • Safe choice: no deduction. Risky choice: minus 15, and the trip survives with a warning. Fatal choice: the trip ends immediately at that stop.
  • Grades for trips that arrive: 90 to 100 "Seasoned traveler", 70 to 89 "Solid, with bruises", 40 to 69 "Rough trip", under 40 "Held together by luck".
  • The teaching is real even though the trips are not. Every outcome explains the principle behind it, drawn from E-Visa Preparation's published guidance on transit rules and visa on arrival fine print. The places and people are invented; the traps are not.
